Tura Football League | Dalu United to face Doreng Sporting in the final of Second Division

Tura, July 13: Both the Second Division semi-final matches of the Tura Football League concluded at the Chandmari Football Turf on Saturday, with Dalu United and Doreng Sporting securing their spots in the final after defeating Rongbakgre SCC and Sampalgre YC, respectively.

In the first semi-final, Dalu United faced Rongbakgre SCC in an exhilarating match that went all the way to a dramatic penalty shootout. Tangrak Sangma and Tangsrang Sangma scored for Dalu United in the 18th and 44th minutes, respectively. Rongbakgre SCC’s Lesting Sangma and Hanibirth Sangma found the back of the net in the 8th and 43rd minutes, respectively. With the match ending in a 2-2 draw, the game was decided by penalties, where Dalu United triumphed 4-2. Tangrak Sangma of Dalu United received a yellow card in the 80th minute for a foul.

The second semi-final saw Doreng Sporting emerge victorious against Sampalgre YC with a 3-2 win. Doreng Sporting took the lead with Nikku Marak scoring twice in the 15th and 38th minutes, and Cherrybirth Marak adding another goal in the 27th minute, ending the first half with a 3-0 lead. Sampalgre YC attempted a comeback with goals from Lohithson M Marak and Kreningbirth D Sangma in the 42nd and 58th minutes, respectively. However, Doreng Sporting held on to their lead to secure the win. Gitcho Marak of Doreng Sporting received a yellow card in the 80th minute, while Sampalgre YC’s Trebith D Shira and Adventure D Shira received yellow cards in the 62nd and 78th minutes, respectively.

With these victories, both Doreng Sporting and Dalu United have qualified for next season’s First Division and will face each other in the Second Division’s final at the Chandmari Football Turf on Tuesday (July 16, 2024) at 1 PM.

Additionally, the First Division’s final will also take place at the Chandmari Football Turf on Tuesday at 3 PM, featuring Rongkhon Sporting versus Chandmary FC.
