Tura, June 19: The Second Division of the Tura Football League witnessed a thrilling match on Wednesday in which Northern United thrashed Nostu Nopantu SCYC with a 7-0 win in the first match, whereas in the second match, Dokakku FC defeated Dura Wa’saa 3-0.
In the match between Northern United and Nostu Nopantu SCYC, Jarambong Sangma opened the scoring for Northern United with a goal in the 9th minute, followed by another goal from him in the 26th minute. Soon, Stiemly Marak added to the lead with his goal in the 30th minute, ending the first half at 3-0 against Nostu Nopantu SCYC.
After the break, Northern United continued their dominance as Jasin Sangma, Stiemly Marak, Rittim Sangma, and Alesi Momin scored the rest of the goals in the 36th, 55th, 62nd, and 64th minutes respectively, securing a 7-0 victory.
The Nostu Nopantu team struggled to maintain ball possession and break past their opponent’s defense. Their player, Deangku Ch Sangma, received the only yellow card of the game in the 52nd minute.
The second match of the day, between Dokakku FC and Dura Wa’saa, was an interesting game. Dokakku FC got lucky with their first score via an own goal in the 5th minute, where the ball bounced off Demier D Shira of Dura Wa’saa and into their own net.
Tuellen Sangma soon added to Dokakku’s scoring with his goal in the 30th minute of the first half, and Chebath Sangma scored Dokakku FC’s final goal in the 36th minute during the second half.
Dokakku FC won the match 3-0 against their opponent Dura Wa’saa, who struggled to convert their chances throughout the game. No yellow cards were awarded in this match.
