Tura, June 29: Rongkhon Sporting and Achapara Balmikka GSC faced each other in the second semifinal match of the Tura Football League First Division, where Rongkhon Sporting claimed a narrow 2-1 victory against their opponent Achapara Balmikka GSC at the Chandmari Football Turf on Saturday.
Rongkhon Sporting drew first blood with a goal by Kevisucho Chalisou in the 10th minute mark, to which Achapara Balmikka GSC responded with Tengrik R Marak finding the back of the net in the 16th minute.

As both the teams continued their efforts at securing a lead, the first half ended in a 1-1 deadlock.
In the second half, the initial minutes were a stalemate as both sides were unable to convert their chances. However, Rongkhon Sporting broke the impasse with Kevisucho Chalisou scoring in the 49th minute of the second half.

With this win, Rongkhon Sporting will be facing Chandmary FC in the finals and has also been qualified for the next season’s Super Division.
Both Tekan Marak and Treninggath M Sangma of Achapara Balmikka GSC received yellow cards in the 40th and 73rd minute, respectively.
