Tura, Oct 20: Police in Tura have seized heroin drug and arrested a man who was keeping it for distribution during a special operation in Robagre area of the town which falls under Araimile police beat house.
“Based on credible source information, an ANTF operation was launched yesterday morning and after a 12 hour long effort, approx. 5.58 gms Heroin along with 46 nos. empty plastic vials, Rs. 200/- cash and 1 mobile phone was recovered from the possession of one Sagar K. Marak (23), S/o Sailendro B Sangma, R/o Robagre, PO – Araimile, PS – Tura, West Garo Hills. He has been arrested and a case is being registered,” informed West Garo Hills Superintendent of police Vivekanand Singh Rathore.
