Tura, July 30: The second day of the Inter-School Basketball Tournament at the Christian Girls’ Higher Secondary School’s basketball court in Tura continued with a series of exciting matches in both the girls’ and boys’ categories, with the first semi-final played in the girls’ category.

The event has been organized by the District Basketball Association under the aegis of the Meghalaya Basketball Association, Shillong, and in collaboration with the District Sports Office, Tura.

The day commenced with a match in the girls’ category, in which Don Bosco College Higher Secondary Section, Tura, secured an easy win over St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Tura with a imposing 53-6 points.

Given that there are only four teams in the girls’ category, this match also served as the first semi-final.

The next semi-final match in the girls’ category will take place on Wednesday between Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Tura, and Christian Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Tura.

In the boys’ category, the second match of the day featured Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Tura (Night Shift), against Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Rongkhon. The night shift team emerged victorious with a 53-34 win.
