Shillong, Nov 5: The Meghalaya State League (MSL) 2024’s group stage in the Tura zone will conclude on November 6, with a showdown between Chipakkore FC and Pingera Do•Gisik FC at the P.A. Sangma Stadium in Dakopgre.
The match will begin at 5:30 PM, and officials have announced free entry to encourage public attendance.
The stakes are high as both teams vie for a spot in the quarterfinals. Lumsohkhlur FC currently leads the scoreboard with 6 points and holds a narrow chance of advancing if the match ends in a draw. However, a win for Chipakkore would secure their quarterfinal position with 7 points. If Pingera Do•Gisik prevails, they will edge out Lumsohkhlur based on goal difference, clinching their place in the next stage.
Following the conclusion of the group stages, the MSL 2024 will pause to allow the state team to focus on preparations for the upcoming Santosh Trophy 2024-25, shifting attention to this prestigious national competition.
