Tura, Sept 29: Casarina Public School, Tura, organised a cleaning drive in the vicinity of their campus on Friday.
The cleaning drive was held in the run-up to the upcoming Gandhi Jayanti October 02.
The students started the cleaning drive during their recess hour in order to not hamper with their routine school curriculum. Quite a handful of the school’s students took part in the cleaning drive along with some of their teachers and cleared out the surrounding campus area of scattered litters, wild bushes and shrubs.
Luke Ernie D Sangma, Computer Teacher of Casarina Public School, told Hub News, “We conduct such cleaning drive on World Environment Day as well as Gandhi Jayanti every year. Student from all the classes take part in it.”
