Tura, Oct 21: Don Bosco College, Tura, marked World Student’s Day with a speech competition and cultural performances on the college campus on Monday. The event provided a platform for students to showcase their oratory talents and celebrate academic and extracurricular achievements.
As part of the festivities, the college also presented the Best Student Awards, recognizing outstanding performers from various departments.
The speech competition showcased impressive public speaking skills, with students delivering well-crafted speeches on diverse topics.
In a special moment, the college also felicitated Rakesh Saha, a student who was recently honoured by UNICEF India as one of the 30 Climate Champions of Young India. His recognition was celebrated as an inspiring achievement for the college and the broader community.
Fr. Januarius S Sangma, SDB, Principal of Don Bosco College, congratulated the participants for their efforts and expressed his gratitude for the students’ contributions to the college. He lauded their achievements, emphasizing the importance of continuing to strive for excellence in both academic and personal pursuits.
The celebration concluded with cultural performances, bringing students and faculty together in a spirit of unity and celebration.
