Shillong, Oct 29: Within a span of two days, two FIRs have been filed against the Instagram user ‘queen_beb_7811’ for allegedly making derogatory remarks on social media that insulted the Khasi community, affecting the sentiments of the community as a whole.

The Khasi Students Union (KSU) Bangalore Unit filed a complaint on Tuesday against the Instagram user at the office of the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, in Shillong.

The Instagram user has become the subject of controversy after a video clip went viral in which she made derogatory remarks insulting KSU members, Seng Longkmie, and the State Police.

KSU Bangalore Unit President Donboklang Nongphud stated that the organization initially hesitated to lodge a complaint. However, given the impact of her comments on the Khasi community, the KSU felt compelled to take action, he said.

It is worth mentioning that two formal complaints have been lodged against the Instagram user in the past two days: Hynniewtrep Integrated Territorial Organisation (HITO) filed an FIR on Monday, followed by the Khasi Students Union (KSU) Bangalore Unit on Tuesday.
