Organised in the backdrop of the Simsang river, the festival aims to showcase and promote the unique culture and traditions of the local communities.
Meghalaya Speaker, Thomas A Sangma, inaugurated the festival with the presence of district legislator and Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma. The Speaker talked about the festival’s importance in the context of tourism, recognising its potential to attract visitors and boost the region’s economy.
