Tura, Nov 30: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) was launched at Daren Agal under Gambegre in West Garo Hills on Thursday. Ashish Kr Saxena, Director, Ministry of Commerce and Industries and Nodal Prabhari of VBSY, flagged off the programme.
A mobile Van was allocated for the purpose of highlighting the various Central Government schemes and raising awareness on all such Central schemes.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on November 15, 2023 from Khunti, Jharkhand to saturate the benefits of Central government schemes across the nation. As a part of on-Spot services under the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Health Camps are being organized at the places of halt of the IEC Van in the Gram Panchayats.
A video of PM Modi addressing the nation live during the launch of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was also shown on the Mobile Van.
Addressing the people present, Saxena spoke on various Central Schemes and plans to give mass awareness on these Central schemes viz Ujjawalla scheme, Jan Dhan Yojana, etc. to the public.
The VBSY programme will be conducted via the Mobile Van covering all Districts and Blocks, and continue till January 26, 2024. The Sankalp pledge in Hindi and Garo language was also read out to the people present.
Success stories by the beneficiaries of various SCHEMES were also shared and beneficiaries were also facilitated.
