Arunachal Pradesh, April 8: Violence erupted in Dadam village under the Khonsa (West) legislative assembly constituency in Arunachal Pradesh on Monday afternoon as clashes broke out between supporters of the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Ten individuals sustained injuries, with two of them requiring further treatment and being referred to Dibrugarh. Both political parties have lodged First Information Reports (FIRs) against each other in response to the altercation. In efforts to quell the tension, Deputy Commissioner Ira Singhal has summoned representatives from both factions for a discussion today.
The authorities are working to address the situation and maintain peace in the region.
