Guwahati, July 4: Vice President, Jagdeep Dhankar on Tuesday morning landed at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati. He is on a one day visit to Assam which is aimed at strengthening ties and fostering development in the region.
After his arrival, Jagdeep Dhankar was welcomed by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Lok Sabha member Queen Oja, and other dignitaries at the airport.

Vice President will be first visiting the Maa Kamakhya temple in Guwahati, then he will attend two events at IIT Guwahati. He will also preside over the 25th Convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology, where he is will be addressing the graduating students.
This is his second visit to Assam this year. He had earlier attended the 21st convocation of Dibrugarh University in May.
