Shillong, Oct 20: Local MLA Wailadmiki Shylla on Friday inaugurated the Urban Health and Wellness Centre at Iawmusiang, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai.
Speaking on the occasion, Wailadmiki said the opening of the health centre in the market area is to ensure that both the local residents and visitors to the market area could have easy access to medical care. He encouraged the public to take advantage of the health centre service including meeting with doctors for counselling when needed.
Dr. K Dhar, Additional District Medical & Health Officer, Dr. M.Syngkon , District Surveillance Officer, IDSP, Dr. L.Pyrbot, Medical & Health Officer, Iawmusiang UHWC, Headman, elders and residents of the area were present.
