Guwahati, Mar 13: In collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Guwahati Water Supply Project has welcomed registrations for residents in 21 District Metered Areas from March 5.

The initiative aims to ensure a steady supply of drinking water to households. The designated areas include Downtown, Dwarika Nagar, Chachal, Upper Chachal, Junaki Path/Rupkonwar Path, Fancy Bazar/Machkhowa, BK Kakati Road/Rehabari, GS Road from Ulubari Chariali to Paltan Bazaar, left side of GS Road from ASEB Road to Ulubari Chariali, and Rupnagar/Birubari.

The citizens residing in these areas are encouraged to apply for the seamless delivery of potable water directly to their homes. This initiative signifies a concerted effort to enhance water accessibility and quality for residents across various neighbourhoods in Guwahati.
