Tura, July 29: The West Garo Hills Police has urged all residents in the district to renew their firearm licenses promptly.

Police said a significant number of licensed firearms in the region have already expired.

With the Lok Sabha elections next year, the police stressed on the importance of ensuring that all firearms are legally authorized and up-to-date. Failure to renew licenses could lead to potential legal complications.

The police have requested residents to take immediate action and renew their licenses to avoid any inconvenience or legal hassles. This measure aims to promote a safe and secure environment for the upcoming electoral event.
