Jowai, Mar 27: The West Jaiñtia District Sports Association (WJDSA) on Saturday celebrated its Golden Jubilee at a function organised at Kiang Nangbah Stadium, Jowai.
During the celebrations, the Minister of Sports & Youth Affair, Banteidor Lyngdoh was the Chief Guest while the Minister of Social Welfare was the Guest of Honour.
During the function Lyngdoh announced that West Jaintia Hills will soon get a futsal ground, synthetic track and floodlights to improve the sporting activities in the District.
Others who spoke during the day included the working president of WJDSA, EMH Passah, the general secretary of WJDSA, Lamat-oo Laloo, General Secretary WJDSA, the founder member of WJDSA, SK Lato, amongst others.
