Women minister inducted in Arunachal Pradesh cabinet, CM asserts for women empowerment

Itanagar, June 14: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu after taking oath said that his government wants to work for women empowerment and so after decades a women minister was inducted in the cabinet, adding that the induction of women in the cabinet acts as a motivation for the women section.

Talking to media persons, Khandu said, “I have taken charge for third term and its great opportunity for me. The focus of Modi government on Arunachal has given this huge mandate. We want to link up more people in the developmental work,”.

“We will work in accordance to our manifesto. We will take up priority work and set target for next 100 days,” Khandu said.

Khandu said, “If speaking on the woman MLA in the state cabinet, BJP always vouched for women empowerment. In the previous term of PM Modi even the Women’s Reservation Bill’ was also passed by both the houses and it will be rolled out in 2029. In the same way, in the state of Arunachal in 2029, 33 per cent reservation will be given for women MLAs in the state Assembly.”
