Guwahati, March 9: BJP state Mahila Morcha President says women to play the vital role in the upcoming Assembly polls.

In connection with the spirit of International Women’s day, the women leadership of Assam State BJP has registered a formal celebration of the auspicious occasion in tune with the magnified role of women in all strata of the society including active politics and administration.

Addressing the media persons, State BJP Mahila Morcha President Aparajita Bhuyan along with spokesperson Janki Khaund asserted the facilitative role of the government under the abled leadership of Prime minister Narendra Modi in orchestrating the manifested role of women in economy, polity and overall social-cultural infrastructure.

Pinpointing the amplified turnout of women voters in India, Bhuyan credited women participation for the astounding performance of the party in the recent Bihar elections.

Reiterating the exalted status-quo of women empowerment and emancipation in India , Khaund mentioned the series of developmental schemes ranging from the ambitious ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ Mission for containing female foeticide and promoting female education, The Swach Bharat Abhiyan improvising sanitation facilities for women, the popular Ujjwala Scheme envisaging smoke free household for rural women, and other schemes for ensuring financial assistance to Tea garden women, widows, divorced women, below poverty line women and the pension provisions under Indira Miri scheme.

Glorifying the enhanced role of Women ranging from sports to combat role in India, Bhuyan and Khaund asserted that women in the region will come up with exemplary performance in the days to come in sync with the notion of women empowerment embedded in the political narrative of Bharatiya Janata Party.
