Shillong, Nov 4: A splendid performance by Viancy Chaudhry of Meghalaya, who scored 84 runs from 120 balls, helped Meghalaya Women Cricket Team beat Jammu and Kashmir by 51 runs on Thursday in the fourth round plate of the Women’s Senior One Day Trophy at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata.
Meghalaya won the match by 51 runs, hitting a total of 206 runs. In response , J&K could manage only 158 runs. Viancy Chaudhry and Rajni Lodhi scored a total of 144 runs. Deiphi picked up 2 wickets while Ajima, Riti N and Rajni Lodhi picked up a wicket each.
Meghalaya will prepare to take on Arunachal Pradesh in the last round of the fifth plate on November 6th at the same venue.
The senior women’s one-day tournament is divided into six groups, namely, Elite Group A, Elite Group B, Elite Group C, Elite Group D, Elite Group E, and Plate Group. A total of 106 matches will be played across six venues, namely, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune, Dehradun, Vizag, and Nagpur. Out of the 106 matches, 96 matches will be league matches and 10 will be knockouts.
