Shillong, Sep 24: The Women’s Wing of the Passah Clan organised a Food Fest Cum Mini Lucky Draw at Yungwalieh, Loomiongkjam, and Jowai on Saturday. The event was graced by the CEM of JHADC. Thombor Shiwat graced the occasion as the chief guest, and the Dolloi of Elaka Jowai, Puramon Kynjing, was the guest of honour.

Prior to the food festival, a formal function was held, which was presided over by Finland Passah, the Vice Chairperson of the Women’s Wing.

Puramon Kynjing lauded the efforts of the Women’s Wing of the Clan for organising the fest which shows the unity amongst the members of the Clan.

While Thombor Shiwat applauded the efforts of the Women’s Wing and stated that the females and mothers have the power to make the family strong and to guide society in a better way for the clan at the same time.

Others who spoke were Wanpoi Passah and SK Lato and the vote of thanks was delivered by Samandaka Passah, the Chairperson of the Women’s Wing.
