Young cricketers from Ri Bhoi donate blood

Nongpoh, April 20: The budding cricketers from Ri Bhoi district took part in the free blood donation camp organized by the Ri Bhoi District Cricket Association (RBDCA) in Nongpoh Blood Bank of Nongpoh Civil Hospital.

The camp was led by Rayonald Kharkamni, president of the RBDCA and other members, under the aegis of the Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA). The blood donation camp, which was held on Tuesday, is the second phase of its kind organized by RBDCA after the first was held during the Meghalaya Day celebration on January 21.

Over ten young budding Cricketers under RBDCA donated blood in the donation camp and expressed their happiness on being able to save someone’s precious live.

“This is our first time ever, that we had came out and readied to donate our one unit blood, we felt proud that we stood ahead in volunteering the camp,” said the players and urged other youth to come forward in voluntarily donating their blood so that someone who might need it at the urgency period can get it when available in different blood banks of the state.
