Nongpoh, February 21: The police of the Ri Bhoi District summoned the owners of the “7Trep TV” YT Channel following an FIR lodged by the Councils of Headmen of Ri Bhoi (Synjuk ki Rangbah Shnong).

The Chairman of the Councils of Headmen of Ri Bhoi (Synjuk ki Rangbah Shnong) has lodged an FIR against the Channel for disinformation that brought disgrace upon and created difference between this individual and Pynïaid Sing Syiem, the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) Chief.

Within three hours of receiving the complaint, the police have taken immediate actions and identified the owner of this media platform and also the person that was speaking on commentary on the video on the channel, impersonating as the Chairman of the Council, B B Makdoh.

These individuals were identified as Fernando Diengdoh who is the owner of the channel and resides at Kynshi, Eastern West Khasi Hills District along with Neverson Marbiang who was giving the speech to the news, hailing from Erpakom Village, Ri Bhoi District.

The police have taken these individuals into custody to continue further investigations and had released them with a warning to bring along their parents to discuss on this matter on the following day.
