Shillong, Feb 22: The Ri Bhoi Police arrested two individuals on Thursday afternoon, suspected of involvement in the killing of a ten-year-old boy in Umtangar, Ri Bhoi District.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Pynshailang Warjri (32) and Banshngain Tynsong (28), both residents of Umtangar, Ri-Bhoi.

Superintendent of Police (SP), Ri-Bhoi informed that a written FIR was received from the victims father Shynsharlang Nonghyndah.

On February 18, the body of the boy, Kitdorlang Marbaniang (10 yrs), was recovered from the garden of Comand Nongrang in Umtangar, Ri Bhoi District. He was missing since February 17.

The SP informed that during the investigation, two suspected persons were arrested.

He said that their custody has been sought to determine the motive and identify other co-accused involved in the crime.
