SHILLONG, Sept 13: Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Power, Prestone Tynsong, on Tuesday informed that the 132 Kv Sub-station at Phulbari is likely to be commissioned this month.

The project was sanctioned on December 1, 2014, Tynsong said in his reply in the Assembly.

Concerned over the delay to complete the project, Rangsakona legislator Zenith Sangma said the people are suffering due to very low voltage in the area.

To this, Tynsong said he admits that the process is very long and that the actual signing of loan agreement between the central government, financial agency and the state government was only completed on November 28, 2016.

He said the project was completed few weeks back and reassured that it will be commissioned within this month.
