Shillong, Sept 15: East Jaintia Hills police nabbed two interstate traffickers on Thursday and seized 48 boxes of heroin worth Rs 5.5 crore.
Two vehicles and other incriminating materials were also seized.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Friday applauded the relentless drive led by LR Bishnoi and his team in curbing the drug menace in the state.
CM said that the crusade against drugs will continue unabated till this menace is extirpated from the state.

Earlier on September 7, the Ri Bhoi Police had nabbed one interstate drug trafficker and seized 1.3 crore. worth Rs 1.3 Crore.
