Tura, May 4: With the finale closing in, Day 12 of the 3rd P. A. Sangma Memorial Day & Night Cricket Tournament rolled into it’s pre-quaterfinals leg on Saturday at the Police Parade ground in Tura.
To make the match experience even more exciting and entertaining, LED screens were set up for live viewing and instant replay, along with musical performances by MGMP artists on the side.
SP XI A showcased their dominance against GHADC. Batting first, SP XI A were 132/3 in their 10 over inning with Silvia Eunice A Sangma smashing 46 in 20 balls, and as good as their batsmen, SP XI A also had a brilliant bowling line up. GHADC were bowled out in just 8.1 overs scoring only 76. SP XI A won by 56 runs, and Deepak was awarded player of the match.
D M Super 9 also demonstrated dominance in their match against Guare. D M Super 9 played a tremendous inning, scoring 143/4 in the allotted 10 overs, with Anil smashing 45 off 13 balls. Guare, on the other hand had no answer to Super 9’s bowling line up, they could only muster 62 runs in the 10 overs losing 6 wickets. D M Super 9 registered an 81 run victory, and Dilwar was awarded player of the match.
Result of other matches:
– Galaxy XI registered a 3 wicket win against Chokpot Wonders, and Soyed Anowar was awarded player of the match. (Round 3)
– Galaxy won by 1 wicket against Phulbari United, and Dansrang Marak was awarded player of the match. (Round 3)
– Thunderbird won by 6 wickets against Cheram, and Washim Ullah Khan was awarded player of the match.
– Selsella Jarambong Sports Association won by 25 runs against Galaxy, and Tukuri was awarded player of the match
– ABZO Xi won by 31 runs against Galaxy XI A, and Raja Ali was awarded player of the match.
– Square Feet won by 2 wickets against Teens, and Rameez Rabbani was awarded player of the match.
