Tura, Aug 1: High rate of infections and rising number of people going in for testing due to the spread of the highly contagious delta variant of the corona virus, has made authorities to set up more testing centres in Tura which is facing the brunt of the disease.

From onwards there will be 7 Fixed testing sites under Urban area.

7 Fixed testing sites

1. Chandmari TMB testing centre,

2. Gorkha L P School, police reserve, Tura Thana area,

3. Legal Metrological Dept, Dakopgre near DTO office,

4. Matchakolgre L P school,

5. Dobasipara community Hall, Dobasipara,

6. Hawakhana (old Maruti garage),

7. Hindi Govt L P school (Nakham Bazaar).

Timings and responsibilities

All the above 7 testing centres will be testing with RAT & samples for RT-PCR will also be collected as per the requirements at free of cost.

The testing site will be open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm ( Monday to Saturday).

Deputy commissioner Ram Singh has urged upon all symptomatic/Asymptomatic/ high risk contact to visit these testing centres as per their convenient area.

All testing site will provide the Home Isolation Kits (HIK) for those detected positive on spot and for RT PCR positive individual also, family member  can collect it from this testing centres on producing the positive report of during the testing working hours.
