Tura, June 13: A.Balmikka GSC dominated Babelapara SYC with a 5-1 win in the First Division match, and Dalu United narrowly defeated Chada United SA 2-1 in the Second Division match of the Tura Football League.
Both the matches were played at the Chandmari Football Turf on Thursday.
In the First Division, Tengrik R Marak opened the scoring for A.Balmikka in the 4th minute, followed by Niangchra Ch Marak hitting back in the 25th minute. Tengrik R Marak came back again with a goal in the 31st minute, setting up a 3-0 lead for A.Balmikka in the first half.
In the second half, Grebinath M Sangma added to A.Balmikka’s scoring with a goal in the 52nd minute, which was swiftly countered by Babelapara SYC with a goal by Dipankar Hajong in the 53rd minute. Pelok M Sangma scored the final goal of A.Balmikka in the 67th minute.
Sengrang Marak, Larys Lomo Marak and Lastine Sangma of Babelapara SYC were awarded the cautionary yellow cards of the game in the 30th, 60th and 61st minute respectively.
In the Second Division match, Dalu United secured a 2-1 victory against their opponent Chada United. Grimseng Arengh opened the scoring for Dalu United with a goal in the 23rd minute, to which Chada United responded with Bilseng Marak finding the back of the net in the 28th minute. The first half ended with both teams entering a 1-1 deadlock.
Coming from break, the deadlock continued as both sides struggled for a comeback. Ranchang Marak finally broke the impasse as he secured the match winning goal for Dalu United in the 66th minute, whilst the Chada United team still awaited their chance at redemption.
The match ended with Dalu United emerging victorious with a 2-1 win against Chada United SA, and no cautionary cards being awarded in the game.
