GANGTOK, May 30: Agapi Sikkim, a pioneering company founded by Rinzing Choden and Varsha Shrestha, has made history by becoming the first woman-led company from Sikkim to have their advertisement displayed on the iconic Times Square billboard in New York City on May 29.
The founders, Rinzing and Varsha, recently participated in the prestigious Immersion and Leadership Programme held at Bradley University in Illinois. This programme, which focuses on empowering women globally, is a collaborative initiative by Alsisar Impact and Kolkata University. The programme provided invaluable opportunities for networking, skill enhancement, and global exposure, equipping participants with the tools necessary to lead and innovate in their respective fields.
Agapi Sikkim’s advertisement on Times Square is a significant milestone, not only for the company but also for the entire state of Sikkim. It highlights the entrepreneurial spirit and potential of women leaders from the region and sets a precedent for future achievements.
