Agatha Sangma appointed Chairperson of MSCPCR

Shillong, Sept 7: National People’s Party (NPP) national vice president and former Tura MP Agatha K Sangma has been appointed as new Chairperson of the Meghalaya State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MSCPCR).

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), her bother and former minister, James K Sangma, said, “I extend my warmest congratulations to my dear sister, Smt. Agatha K. Sangma, on her appointment as the Chairperson of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.”

The NPP has also extended its congratulations to Agatha on Saturday.

“Congratulations to our National Vice President Smt. @AgathaKSangma on being appointed as the Chairperson of State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. As you take on this pivotal role, we wish you continued success and best wishes for your future endeavours,” the party said on its social media handle.
