Must read

Agartala, Jan 17: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha announced the introduction of advanced technologies to enhance policing in the state, including AI-based control rooms, drone technology, smart CCTVs, and modernized systems at both district and state levels.

Speaking on the government’s priorities, Saha said, “Law and order is one of the priority sectors of our government. The status of a state is judged based on its law and order.” He emphasized that the welfare of both citizens and the police remains a core focus of his administration.

Saha, who also holds the Home portfolio, outlined plans for improved law enforcement infrastructure, including the establishment of a new police headquarters and the modernization of the East Agartala and West Agartala police stations.

He further shared insights from his recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where the reconstruction of outdated police stations and residential quarters was discussed.

These initiatives, Saha stated, aim to strengthen law and order while aligning with the state’s developmental priorities.
