Amit Shah to inaugurate Cyber Security Hub, assess Space Applications Center Operations in Shillong

Shillong, Jan 18: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to embark on a three-day visit to Assam and Meghalaya starting January 18. During this visit, he is scheduled to participate in the plenary session of the North Eastern Council, attend the passing out parade of Assam Police commandos, and inaugurate a cyber security operational center, as per sources on Wednesday.

Additionally, Shah will join the 61st Raising Day festivities of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in Tezpur, Assam.

Upon his arrival in Shillong on Thursday, the Home Minister is set to inaugurate a cyber security operational center at the Assam Rifles’ headquarters in the capital of Meghalaya.

On Friday, Shah will participate in the 71st plenary session of the NEC at the state convention centre in Shillong. Following this, he will conduct a review of the operations at the North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC), also situated at the same venue.

On Saturday, the Home Minister will participate in the 61st Raising Day celebrations of the SSB at the SSB complex in Tezpur. In the afternoon, he is scheduled to attend the 13th triennial conference of the All Bathou Mahasabha at Dhekiajuli in Sonitpur district. Later in the evening, Shah will be present at the passing out parade of 2,551 Assam Police commandos at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati. Following this, he will launch a book titled ‘Assam’s Braveheart Lachit Barphukan’ at Srimanta Sankardeva International Auditorium in the city. The Home Minister will also inaugurate the Brahmaputra Riverfront in Guwahati before returning to Delhi.
