Selected aspirants underwent a rigorous training regimen, which included physical conditioning by qualified instructors, preparation for written examinations, personality development sessions, weekly progress assessments and interactions with serving and decorated soldiers.

The training also included a final screening test that consisted of a physical examination, a medical check-up and a written test. Individuals identified as potential candidates will be closely monitored to ensure that they remain motivated and focused on their goal of joining the Indian Army as Agniveers.

“The success of the event has paved the way for more such initiatives in the future, with the hope of reaching out to a larger community and encouraging more young individuals to join the Army. One of the key highlights of the training programme was the emphasis on physical conditioning, which is essential for aspiring soldiers to meet the rigorous physical standards. The weekly progress assessments conducted during the training programme were instrumental in tracking the participants’ performance and identifying areas where they needed improvement. By providing regular feedback and guidance, we ensured that the participants were able to address their weaknesses and enhance their strengths, ultimately increasing their chances of success in the recruitment process,” a Spear Corps official said.
