Guwahati, May 06: In a tragic incident, four road construction workers from Assam were buried to death in a massive landslide at Mossing village on the Yingkiong-Tuting road in Arunachal Pradesh’s Siang district on Thursday night.

According to reports, the workers were sleeping in a makeshift roadside tent when the landslide took place.

It has been raining incessantly for the last five days in the area due to which Tuting remains cut off from the rest of the country.

Due to heavy rain for the last couple of days, landslides were reported from various areas of Arunachal Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the district administration has launched an operation to retrieve the bodies which were trapped due to landslides.

Later, the bodies were retrieved by the workers of the construction company.
