He acknowledged the challenge in Dhubri, and urged AGP workers to strive for victory in both constituencies. Meanwhile, political analysts suggest a bright chance for the AGP-BJP-UPPL alliance in Barpeta due to shifting dynamics.

In the third phase on May 7, AGP and UPPL fielded candidates in three seats, with BJP in one. Himanta Biswa guaranteed BJP’s full support for AGP candidates, and also anticipated a remarkable performance by the alliance in all 14 Assam seats.

AGP hasn’t won a seat since Joseph Toppo’s victory in 2009. Himanta also expressed confidence in both Dhubri and Barpeta, emphasizing ample campaign time for BJP leaders to support AGP candidates.
