Guwahati, Feb 26: Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi came down heavily on the BJP for using the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Income Tax (IT) Department and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to target the Opposition leaders.
Talking to media persons, Gaurav Gogoi said the Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has organised the “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra” and has given confidence that there is a strong opposition to the BJP.
“Rahul Gandhi has been playing the role of opposition and the BJP has understood this very well and using all forces viz CBI and IT to target the opposition leaders and harrassing them for not to do their work,” Gogoi stated.
Both BJP and Congress have been involved in mud slinging on each others as poll day nears.
The internal dispute between the Congress leaders is a cause of concern for the Assam Congress.
The Assam Congress has faced another setback after one of its senior leader Rana Goswami tendered his resignation from the post of organisational in-charge of Upper Assam.
