Guwahati, Aug 23: Rajani Kumar Dutta, father of Chayan Dutta, is keeping his fingers crossed because there are only a few hours left for Chandrayaan-3 to land on the moon.
Rajani Kumar Dutta, a small businessman, is excited and anxious at the same time.
His son Chayan Dutta is at the helm of the Chandrayaan-3 Mission Launch and Landing Control Centre.
Chayan Dutta is a resident of Assam’s Lakhimpur district.
Dutta is an alumnus of Department Electronics & Communication Engineering, Tezpur University and North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous). Presently, he is working as a Scientist/Engineer-G at UR Rao Satellite Centre, under the Department of Space.
Dutta was also part of the Chandrayaan 2 mission.
Speaking to media persons, “I am hopeful that Chandrayan-3 will successfully launch on the Moon. We are praying for a successful mission,” said Rajani Kumar Dutta.
He said, “Last time, at the last moment, there was an accident; this time, let’s keep praying for a goofy soft landing. I am also praying for it, and the entire country is doing something. I still can’t forget last time my son called me and cried like a child to say that he failed. This time we are keeping our fingers crossed.”.
As the countdown for the soft landing of Chandrayaan-3 has started, Assam will be rooting for its very own Chayan Dutta the Deputy Project Director for the Chandrayaan-3 mission.
Everybody is eagerly waiting for the final countdown and crossed their fingers.
