The border issue with Assam is not a single party subject but is a state mandate we must shoulder together. Thank the political parties who joined us in our consultative meeting. He said the government will examine these suggestions thoroughly be it from political parties or the NGOs, before the Chief Minister meets with his Assam counterpart.
“The submission made was we need to go as per the documents available from their side, the land documents, historical background that we have… So whatever submission made from the government… and ultimately one to one meeting between the two Chief Ministers from Meghalaya and Assam… will sit down and then take a final call on this,” he said.
