Guwahati, Feb 6: Assam Police successfully resolved the sensational murder case at Guwahati’s Radisson Blu Hotel within 24 hours, and the two main suspects are now in police custody. Further information has been uncovered, shedding light on the entire incident and providing some explanation.
The tragic murder of a businessman from Pune occurred on Monday, however, it came to light only on Tuesday morning.
According to Guwahati Police Commissioner Diganta Borah, the murder of Sandip Suresh Kambli, a 42-year-old Diamond dealer from Pune, Maharashtra, took place because of a complicated relationship between three people; a love triangle.
The key people involved were Kambli, his girlfriend Anjali Shaw from Kolkata, and her other boyfriend, Bikash Shaw.
“Anjali shaw was friendly with the victim but later on there was some issue between them. The girl finally cut off all the relationship from the victim, who became possessive and he (Sandip Suresh Kambli) kept pursuing,” Borah informed.
He claimed that the accused Anjali Shaw, 25, and her boyfriend Rakesh Shaw, 27, wanted to get rid of Kambli, and they planned to meet him in Guwahati.
All three reportedly arrived at Radisson Blu, where a scuffle occurred between Bikash and Kambli. The ultimate plan was to retrieve Kambli’s mobile phone, which contained intimate photographs of Anjali and the victim.
“The girl was already having an affair with the boy called Bikash Shaw. Both these – Anjali Shaw and Bikash Shaw wanted to get rid of the guy, the victim (Sandip Suresh Kambli). Accordingly they planned to meet him at Guwahati and yesterday all three of them arrived at Radisson Blu. Anjali came with the victim and Bikash came separately. Finally at around 2:30 there was some scuffle between Bikash and the victim and, as planned, finally they wanted to get the victim’s mobile phone, where there were some intimate photographs of Anjali and the victim. So they could get the mobile, and in that process, there were some injuries sustained by the victim and due to those injuries the victim collapsed and later on he died,” Borah informed.
The police arrested Anjali and Bikash before they could leave for Kolkata. “Police could arrest both the culprits, they are in our custody and further investigation will tell us about the other facts,” the Commissioner further said.
The tragic event occurred in Room Number 907 on the 9th floor of the upscale hotel, and the deceased’s body is currently under the custody of Guwahati Police.
