Guwahati, May 3: Sonitpur Police conducted a successful operation at Muslim Chapori village under Thelamara Police Station jurisdiction late last night. The operation was Led by Additional SP (Crime) Moushumi Kalita on this remote southern banks of the Brahmaputra River.

During the operation, police recovered one pistol along with two rounds of ammunition. Three individuals from the local area were apprehended in connection with the case.

The arrested suspects have been identified as:
1. Saidul Islam (35), son of Nazimuddin
2. Anarul Hussain (32), son of Md Ali
3. Hibjur Rahman (24), son of Safiruddin

All three hail from Muslim Chapori village under Thelamara Police Station limits. According to official sources, further investigation into the matter is currently underway. More details are awaited.
