Karimganj, Feb 15: Assam’s Karimganj Police seized 178 cartoons of codeine phosphate cough syrup Phensedyl on Wednesday. Based on inputs, the Police conducted a search operation at Churaibari, Assam-Tripura border and recovered the illegal syrup worth crores.

A truck bearing registration number AS 28 AC 0530 was also seized. The driver managed to flee during the operation.
