Guwahati, July 19: Four policemen and several others were injured on Tuesday night in Silchar area after angry mob attacked police during a protest with the dead body of a girl at Silchar in Assam Cachar district.

According to reports, over a thousand people blocked the road with dead body of a 19 year-old girl, who was allegedly raped and murdered. The mutilated dead body of the girl was found four days after she went missing.
