Jowai, Oct 7: The National People’s Party (NPP), 7-Amlarem Block, on Friday organised a program to welcome former MLA R.L.Tariang along with other new members to the party to support NPP candidate Stephanson Mukhim for the upcoming 2023 Assembly elections from Amlarem Constituency.
The program was held at the Hall of Syiem Jingsuk Higher School, Amlarem in the presence of the party’s District President of West Jaiñtia Hills and Jowai MLA Wailadmiki Shylla, Stephanson Mukhim, JHADC MDCs amongst others.
It may be stated here that former MLA R.L.Tariang and MDCs of District Council joining NPP will give a boost to the prospects of Stephanson Mukhim winning the seat.
Tariang informed that the reason for joining NPP is because he has not seen any development works brought by the present MLA (Lahkmen Rymbui) to the Constituency.
Tariang also stated that, as a minister, there are many allegations made against Rymbui on a daily basis.
Wailadmiki Shylla informed the gathering about NPP and pointed out that the MDA government led by the NPP has worked tirelessly to complete schemes left by previous governments be it the border dispute, enacting laws for the interest of the people of the state amongst others.
Stephanson Mukhim urged people to support him like they did in the year 2013 when he was an independent candidate and that now when he is elected he will be able to complete the pending works that are still left unattended and that he will be able to bring more development to the Constituency.
