Guwahati, May 5: BJP will win the Guwahati Lok Sabha constituency by a huge margin of 6 lakh votes, which will be the highest in the entire Northeast. Jayanta Malla Baruah, Minister of PHE and Tourism, made this claim at an election rally in Goalpara on May 4.
Barua, who represents Nalbari Legislative Assembly Constituency, told reporters that the BJP is 100 percent sure about winning 12 Lok Sabha seats in Assam. There will be a tough fight for the rest two constituencies, where we will also win at the last moment.
Notably, before delimitation, Goalpara was under the Dhubri Lok Sabha constituency, but now Goalpara has come under the Guwahati Lok Sabha constituency. Goalpara has a high population of mostly Muslims along with Tribal people.
The meeting was attended by people from minorities as well as from tribal communities.
During the Lok Sabha Election campaign in Goalpara Baruah said that “Modi wave in Assam to sweep elections for BJP.”
“Rahul Gandhi first moved to Kerala and then to UP. Later on, he will move to Pakistan to contest the election. There is no Congress in Assam, look at their meetings.”
Also, he said, ” In Assam, all in the mainstream are joining BJP, minorities had issues, but during the term of PM Modi, they are now joining the party.”
