Tura, April 6: With the upcoming elections on April 19 in Meghalaya the Office of the District election officer West Garo Hills under the SWEEP Activity conducted a blood donation camp today at Tura Super Market parking in collaboration with District medical health officer.

Speaking to Hubnews West Garo Hills Assistant Commissioner Election, Cherime W R Sangma said ” the reason to have this donation camp is to make the voters aware of the General Elections as well as the importance of Blood donations.” The organizers took the opportunity to create awareness on the need of blood and as a contribution to the society.

Blood donation camps will also be organised in civil hospital and as well as in mission compound on 10th and 12th April.
