Tura, April 2: The GBHSS Chandmary Football Turf hosted an electrifying match on Thursday as BOCA Juniors delivered a masterclass performance defeating 7-4 against Garuda Foundation in the Tura Football League 2024.

In the first half-hour, both teams fiercely defended their goals, denying any breakthroughs. However, the deadlock was broken in the 36th minute when Salrim Marak of BOCA Juniors scored a stunning goal. But just moments later, Garuda Foundation’s Roher Momin swiftly equalized in the 37th minute.

Balkam Sangma opens up an opportunity at the 44th minute, securing a goal for BOCA Juniors, granting them a 2-1 lead at halftime.

As the second half commenced, BOCA Juniors maintained control of possession, crafting chances without converting. Nonetheless, Salrim Marak netted his second goal in the 57th minute, followed by Balkam Sangma’s second at the 59th minute, bolstering BOCA Juniors’ advantage.

Witnessing the momentum shift, Garuda launched a relentless assault, resulting in Tengbot Sangma’s goal in the 69th minute. Moments later, Balkam Sangma responded with another exquisite goal in the 71st minute, only for Garuda’s Tengsrang Momin to retaliate with his first goal at the 75th minute.

The match reached a crescendo when Cherik Sangma of Garuda Foundation scored from a free kick in the 84th minute. However, BOCA Juniors swiftly capitalized on an opportunity, with Rikman Sangma’s agile play leading to another goal. Salrim Marak sealed the victory with his third goal in the 85th minute.

Notably, all yellow cards in the match were issued to BOCA Juniors players: Sixbirth Sangma in the 50th minute, Balkam Sangma in the 53rd minute, Konaton Rabha in the 74th minute, and Prinsbal Sangma in the 90th minute.

With this triumph, BOCA Juniors ascend the points table, solidifying their position in fourth place with four points.
