Guwahati, Mar 4: Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) chief Hagrama Mohilary announced that his party would win two seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Mohilary stated that they would also secure one Union Cabinet berth post-elections.

Speaking to reporters in Kokrajhar, Mohilary expressed confidence in winning the two Lok Sabha seats of Kokrajhar and Darrang-Udalguri.

The BPF, formerly a part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), is now a part of the INDIA alliance and is confident of performing better in the upcoming polls.

The party is contesting the Lok Sabha polls solo this time, refusing to ally with any other party.

Mohilary reiterated that they are poised to win the Kokrajhar and Darrang-Udalguri Lok Sabha seats. He stated, “We will win both seats, and we will also have a Cabinet Minister in Delhi from among us. We will declare our candidates once the election dates are announced. We cannot say who the candidates are right now. There are three contenders in Kokrajhar and five in Darrang-Udalguri.”
