Boko, Feb 24: MeECL engineer Chonmei Rani T. Sangma, who was critically injured in the road accident at Boko last night, succumbed to her injuries this morning.
She was undergoing treatment at Critical Care Hospital, Lokhra in Guwahati.
Around 9:30 pm yesterday the accident occurred near Shiv Mandir Boko.

The vehicle was driven by her husband, Henry Sangma, an engineer with Urban Department, Government of Meghalaya, also sustained minor injuries.
The couple were on their way to Tura from Guwahati in a Honda VRV when it dashed on to a standing truck.
Victim Chonmei, who was seated on the front seat had sustained head injuries. She was rushed to Boko PHC for immediate treatment and latter rushed to a hospital in Guwahati
She succumbed to her injuries at 3.45 am when the ICU doctor informed of the demise.
