Shillong, Oct 15: A Nodal Officer level meeting between the Border Guarding Forces of India and Bangladesh was held at Tamabil, Bangladesh on Thursday.
BSF delegation led by U K Nayal DIG with 05 other officials were from India side and from Bangladesh side 05 delegates led by Lt. Col. Abdul Kader Md Ashraf Ali Mamun, Border Guard Bangladesh North-East Region Sarail, attended the meeting.
In the meeting various border related problems faced by both the Border Guarding Forces like smuggling of cattle, Drugs & Narcotics, Fake currency and other contraband items were discussed.
The construction of ICP Dawki also figured in the discussion between the Nodal officers of the two Border Guarding Forces. Both sides agreed to jointly prevent trans-border crimes and pursue all pending development works to further strengthen the existing strong relations between the two countries.
